Original story: DICE told us to have some patience, and so patience we had. Our reward? Co-op DLC is indeed making its way to Battlefield: Bad Company 2. It’s titled Onslaught, and appears to be the game’s first piece of premium content for everyone who bought it new.
Onslaught teams up as many as 4 players to tackle objectives on four of the game’s exisiting maps; Valparaiso, Atacama Desert, Isla Inocentes and Nelson Bay, all of which have received a slight makeover, be it new lighting or other effects, and tweaked to make them ideal for co-op play and require “different levels of teamwork”. AI enemies pile on as friends struggle to complete their missions, facing off against vehicles and infantry.
No pricing or dates as of yet but look for it to hit XBLA/PSN “soon”. First glimpses in the trailer above.
