Activision has assigned Wolfenstein and Singularity developer Raven Software to create a number of map packs for Treyarch’s upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops, G4 has heard from eager whistleblowers.
With last year’s sackings however it appears the studio lacks the necessary workforce; one of Raven’s own projects, allegedly a stealth-centric James Bond title, has been put on hold.
If true, this would make Raven the fourth known studio currently involved in the Call of Duty franchise; Treyarch is busy with this year’s Black Ops, Sledgehammer Games on a yet-to-be-announced but “innovative” title, and of course Infinity Ward is working on Modern Warfare 3.
Black Ops is set for a November 9 launch on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
