Concerns over lag issues with the latest motion control devices are nothing new, it’s just refreshing to hear a company admit to them. During a press event in Australia, Sony showed off their upcoming PlayStation Move accessory to a few attendees and revealed that the upcoming motion control device has a bit of a delay.
While playing a bug bashing game, the device’s accuracy of movement was above the Wii’s, yet a Sony rep revealed that the lag was there and had been measured to be 22 ms. Put into perspective though, this is a vast improvement over the 113 ms measurement from just two months ago.
The PlayStation Move is rumored to hit shelves this September, with an official listing of ‘Fall 2010.’
