LittleBigPlanet 2 to include backwards compatibility, custom voice acting

Information revolving around LittleBigPlanet 2 has surfaced on the Playstation Blog and there’s plenty of tidbits about the Media Molecule sequel on it. Backwards compatibility is one of the prime topics discussed; original LittleBigPlanet costumes purchased from the PSN store will be compatible with LittleBigPlanet 2 as well as other costumes, stickers, decorations or DLC unless “it has been created by another player using a ‘glitched’ object of some kind.” Due to the new engine however, content designed for LittleBigPlanet 2 will not be compatible with the original.

While Stephen Fry is making a return as the narrator for LittleBigPlanet 2, the blog briefly confirms custom voice acting, which according to Kotaku, should allow players to provide voice overs for their levels or integrate voices with their character creations.

The blog goes into more detail about the many features of LittleBigPlanet 2 however it makes sure to mention that the game will be making a presence a this year’s E3 which should bring about tons of information.
