Ex-Dead Space devs’ Call of Duty still an FPS

Instead of the previously believed third-person approach the action-adventure genre would normally suggest, Sledgehammer Games’ Call of Duty effort will follow in the footsteps of its many predecessors by once more casting the player in the first-person perspective, job ads listed on Gamasutra reveal (cheers, Paul).

The ‘innovative, audience broadening‘ 2011 release is looking for top industry talent including a number of designers, artists and engineers, specifically to join the studio’s “Call of Duty FPS development team”; pretty clear-cut.

The studio being headed up by former Dead Space bosses also implied the new game may possibly take a different road but, clearly, no dice.
