Sony planning more HD releases of PS2 games?

It appears Sony has set out to release more reworked PlayStation 2 classics on the PlayStation 3. It’s officially still wishful thinking for now, but a questionnaire sent to Kotaku reveals that the company’s been getting people’s input on the very matter and asking for suggestions on what those next games may be.

Listed are Metal Gear, Ratchet & Clank, Grand Theft Auto, Gran Turismo, Resident Evil, Final Fantasy, Yakuza, Silent Hill, and of course Shadow of the Colossus and ICO, which have been rumored to make the jump for quite a while now; creator Fumito Ueda went from “considering” it to “discussing” it in a matter of days last year, and a collection holding remastered versions of both games has recently been rumored for a Q1 2011 release.

Here’s hoping.
