Sony has said that 3D will be the “biggest revolution in gaming,” while a developer states that 3D will be “limited” by technology this generation. Which one is it? Come June 10, PlayStation 3 owners – with compatible television sets – will be able to see the beginnings of 3D gaming for themselves and make up their own minds.
Sony has said they will release a firmware update on June 10 that will allow playing of 3D-enabled titles, the first batch of which will be three PlayStation Network exclusives. Wipeout HD and Super Stardust HD will both have free title updates while Pain will require a separate purchase for the 3D mode.
Odd how just last month the company denied the existence of a 3D version of these three titles. Odd.
