Take-Two’s second quarter fiscal 2010 results conference call today has made the company’s intentions regarding the BioShock franchise clear; it has “a long life [ahead of it] indeed”.
Even though the second game didn’t do as well as the publisher expected (still profitable though), the company continues to see BioShock as “one of the most important franchises in the industry” and plans to support it in the future. Though ‘not necessarily’ by 2K Marin.
