Ever since Shane Kim, head of strategy and development for Xbox 360, was quoted as saying Microsoft was “just beginning to scratch the surface” with regards to their deal with Netflix and other services, our thoughts have run rampant about what could be next. Near the top of our wishlist is Hulu which, according to several sources, is almost assuredly expanding outside its current web based model, with an announcement possibly at this year’s E3.
If ever the time was right to announce an addition to the streaming applications on the Xbox 360, E3 this coming week would be it. The timing seems right for Hulu as well, as a source reports that the company’s plans of introducing a subscription plan for older episodes is due to hit in a month or so.
Right around the time we would expect a dashboard update, no?
