Microsoft announce timed-exclusivity on all CoD DLC

How about this for an opening E3 salvo? Microsoft have just announced that future Call of Duty add-ons and map packs will hit Xbox first.

Taking to the stage at this morning’s E3 press event, Senior VP of Microsoft’s Interactive Entertainment Business Don Mattrick announced the deal struck with Activision.

For three years, starting with Call of Duty: Black Ops, all downloadable content for Call of Duty titles will be timed exclusives on Xbox Live.

That’s big news! Not a bad start to proceedings, eh? More on this, no doubt, as the week progresses.
