It was only a matter of time before someone decided it was time to start working on a dancing game, and with the Xbox 360 now motion-enabled through Kinect (formerly known as Project Natal), MTV Games and Rock Band-creator Harmonix have stepped up and created Dance Central.
The game will be released exclusively for the Xbox 360 and will take advantage of Kinect, Microsoft’s motion “controller” that was fully unveiled earlier today during the company’s E3 press conference. The game was also demoed on stage by some high-class dancers and a white guy trying to be one.
This game, from whatever angle you look at it, will do exactly what Guitar Hero and Rock Band have done for the last couple of years: sell, a lot. And it would in fact not surprise us if it was to become a console seller, or Kinect seller in this case.
Enhanced above is the debut trailer for the game. Have a look and feel the rhythm… you know you want to! Some screenshots in the gallery too.
