City of Heroes: Going Rogue on Aug 17

When you take a look back at the 6 year history of City of Heroes you might be surprised to find out that since the game’s release in 2004, there has only been one single retail expansion. All that is going to change on August 17 when the game’s second expansion — Going Rogue — hits retail shelves and live servers.

The general premise of the expansion is going to allow players to switch what side — heroes or villains — they’re on. So if you’re tired of being a goody-goody and don’t feel like leveling a new character, you’ll have the option of joining the evil side and vise versa.

Aside from the ability to switch factions, the game is adding in an alternate universe called Praetoria where there will be new zones, missions and enemies. The expansion will also bring in a few new power sets including Demon Summoning, Dual Pistols, Electric Control and Kinetic Melee. This expansion has been a long time coming but thankfully the wait is almost over.
