THQ puts Devil’s Third in 2012, announces UFC fitness title

Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive creator Tomonobu Itagaki’s new project won’t be seeing release for at least another year and a half. That’s according to publisher THQ who during an investor conference call last week revealed that it plans to release  Devil’s Third, along with Darksiders 2 and Warhammer 40,000 Dark Millennium Online, in calendar year 2012.

The PS3/360 game was announced earlier this month with a short in-game debut trailer, viewable here.

The call also revealed UFC Trainer, a new fitness title for Move, Kinect, and Wii. According to core games VP Danny Bilson, THQ wants the game “tuned to perfection without lag” and won’t be shipping it “until it’s the coolest fighting thing in the world.” It’s currently expected in January 2011.
