Music games are great. They are even more fun after a few recreational beverages. But these games are only fun because there are just so many songs available for them. Rock Band set the precedent for weekly additions, but sometimes people forget Guitar Hero and DJ Hero do that too!

Added to the Activision music game properties this week was a Pop Pack for Guitar Hero, and a Party Mix for DJ Hero, both with an interesting variety of tunes.

The Guitar Hero Music Store welcomes Lady Gaga’s “Just Dance,” “This Love” from Maroon 5, and Owl City’s “Fireflies.”

Do you prefer spinning to shredding? No problem.

The Dance Party Mix Pack for DJ Hero brings Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face” mixed with “Girls On Film” by Duran Duran, the Pussycat Dolls’ “Buttons” beat juggle, and Rihanna’s “S.O.S.” beat juggle to the game.

Oh, it’s a fantastic time to play plastic instruments in our living rooms, isn’t it?
