A follow-up to 4A Games’ Metro 2033 has been green-lit by THQ.
While chatting to CVG about how Nvidia’s been demoing the first game in 3D, the publisher’s core games VP Danny Bilson revealed that a sequel to the RPG is indeed coming, and that it too will have a 3D version.
“We’re going to be doing a 3D version of that on Metro 2034–the sequel,” he said. “And there will be some engineering costs there, but that’s in our lowest centre in the world.”
“Those games are unbelievably reasonable; they’re built in Kiev,” he added, the very reason the first game enjoyed “a very profitable” outcome a month and a half after its mid-March release earlier in the year.
