2K taking NHL 2K11 on nationwide tour

Despite EA Sports’ dominance of the hockey simulator market, 2K is bringing a Wii-exclusive hockey title by the name of NHL 2K11 to market this September. Perhaps this interests you, perhaps it does not.

Whatever the case, 2K is taking the game on tour this summer. They’re calling it the “The REAL Hockey Experience on Wii,” and the despite the silly name, it’s coming in an RV to 14 cities over the span of two months beginning in a couple weeks. Below are the lucky cities.

  • July 17-18: Calgary
  • July 22-23: Vancouver
  • July 26-27: Edmonton
  • July 30-31: Winnipeg
  • August 2-3: Minneapolis
  • August 7-8: Chicago
  • August 10-11: Detroit
  • August 14-15: Pittsburgh
  • August 17-18: Toronto
  • August 22-23: Ottawa
  • August 27-28: Boston
  • August 30-31: Philadelphia
  • September 3-4: Washington, DC
  • September 7-8: New York

Anyone who ventures to any participating city can get their hands on the game, and participate in contests and giveaways. Additionally, fans will even have the chance to meet NHL stars like cover athlete Ryan Kesler and others, who will be on hand pimping the game.

This sounds like fun, but 2K, where’s the west coast love?
