The new game from Warhawk developers at Lighbox Interactive could be announced “soon.” So says Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida according to whom the project is reaching a point where it could be talked about.
“The team has been working on something new for a while and I wouldn’t be surprised if [we] are able to soon talk about it,” he told Joystiq at E3 a few weeks back. “But not at this time.”
Lightbox — founded by former Warhawk developer Incognito studio director and other employees — has a multi-year exclusive contract with Sony and has been rumored to be working on a possible follow-up to the 2007 sci-fi shooter; rumors fueled by Sony’s trademark registration for “Starhawk” in early 2009.
Until “soon” arrives though, sadly, rumors will have to do.
