Sega won’t be attending gamescom

According to German fansite SegaStuff (via, Seha will not be showing up for gamescom. The publisher’s decision was a “purely commercial” one, apparently.

The German trade show, held in Cologne this August, was set to feature Sega’s Sonic 4, Valkyria Chronicles II, Shogun 2: Total War and shiny, shooty-shooter Vanquish, among others.

The only confirmed publisher is Konami, which is bringing Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, PES 2011, Def Jam Rapstar and a bunch of Kinect titles for us to dribble over… Well, we’ll probably dribble over Castlevania, anyway.

Konami have informed VG247 that the presence of their big Momma titles, Metal Gear Solid: Rising and Metal Gear Solid 3DS, will be made “nearer the time.”

Expect more line-ups to be released over the coming weeks.
