Atomic Games’ download-only shooter Breach was originally slated for a June 2010 release. That didn’t happen. However, Atomic’s president Peter Tamte says that a delay until January will allow his team to make Breach a bigger and better game.
“Luckily there were features we had been thinking of adding to the title, and now we have the opportunity to do just that,” says Tamte. “Unlike with Six Days in Fallujah, which was delayed indefinitely when Konami pulled out, we are publishing Breach ourselves, and it will be out in January.”
It’s good to see that Atomic is taking control of their own destiny this time around. Realism-seeking fans should also be pleased that Atomic plans on adding a “Hardcore mode” to the final version that will act more like a military simulation.
