Crytek, the developer behind one of the most anticipated games of the year, has expressed that Crysis 2 “has the most advanced AI for both humans and aliens you’ve ever seen.” That’s according to Cevat Yerli, head honcho at Crytek.
“They will be showing tactical co-ordination, they will be more challenging but not unfair – they will be truly intelligent, thinking, fair enemies,” he explains.
“I think from that perspective our gameplay experience will be very unique because on one hand you have a world that allows freedom, on the second hand a hero that allows freedom – but also an enemy that adapts to freedom and provides you constant challenge no matter what you do.”
In other words, Crytek is confident that alien morons and good-for-nothing human artificial intelligence are completely lacking in what’s one of the best-looking games of this generation. Bold words, but then again, this coming from the company that’s known for pushing graphics, sounds and gameplay elements virtually to their breaking point. Not to mention our wallets…
Crysis 2 is expected to hit shelves late this year on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
