Kinect‘s long-danced-around pricing has at last been confirmed and, hold on to your hats, it’s the rumored $149.99. There is a distinct difference between the rumored and now-confirmed prices though: the new one includes a free game, Kinect Adventures.
The pricing for individual titles for the motion device is now also confirmed; Kinectimals, Kinect Sports, Kinect Joy Ride and Dance Central will all be available for the slightly lower than usual $49.99 each.
In addition, Microsoft’s introducing two new console SKUs.
The first, a $199 unit (available for pre-order now, releases on August 3), will come with built-in Wi-Fi and 4GB of internal flash memory.
The pricier, $299 unit (pictured above), also bundles in Kinect Adventures as well as Kinect itself. This one’s aimed to be the proverbial hot cake during the holiday season then, we’re guessing.
To make a quick comparison with main competitor Sony’s motion control bundle: as announced earlier in the month, a PS3 SKU shipping with one Move controller, a PlayStation Eye camera, and Sports Champions will be available for $399.
