Marvel vs. Capcom 3 characters that didn’t make the cut

With all the commotion surrounding who’s included in Capcom’s upcoming fighter, Marvel vs. Capcom 3, it’s nice to know that producer Ryota Niitsuma took some time to tell us who’s not.

In a recent Capcom-Unity interview at Comic-Con, Niitsuma revealed that Capcom’s Phoenix Wright and Gene from God Hand will not be appearing in the game along with Marvel’s Emma Frost, Daredevil, Ghost Rider, and Punisher.

Niitsuma explained in the interview how characters like Ghost Rider were heavily considered until the end and just barely missed missed the cut. At the same time, Niitsuma also explained how careful the developers were with not having overlapping characters. For this reason, characters like Punisher were taken out, given his likeness to Capcom’s Chris Redfield.

Keep in mind that there still might be more to come from Marvel vs. Capcom 3, as the game has yet to be featured in its scheduled panel at Comic-Con tomorrow.
