Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II EP resigns

Haden Blackman, long-time contributor to Star Wars games and most recently executive producer on Star Wars: The Force Unleashed I and II, is leaving LucasArts; after spending 13 years with the studio, the time has come to “explore new creative challenges,” he says in a statement released to IGN.

“While the decision to leave LucasArts did not happen overnight or come easily, I really feel that now is the best time for me to move on and explore new creative challenges and I look forward to the next phase of my career.”

Next to the Force Unleashed series, Blackman worked on Star Wars: Galaxies, Star Wars: Force Commander, and helped pen numerous books and comics set in the universe.

According to a LucasArts rep, the development of October’s Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II remains unaffected.
