If a recent job posting is to go by, Transformers: War for Cybertron developer High Moon Studios might be looking into – or already have – doing a sequel for the surprise of the year.
The studio is looking for a level designer, experienced in working with Epic’s Unreal Engine. Might be a bit of a long shot for some given that an uncountable large number of games use that engine, but for the unaware, that’s also the same engine used to power Transformers: WFC.
It’s also been known that High Moon Studios have been in talks with Activision about making more games based on the franchise. And the surprisingly high scoring reviews the game has received since launch should not be forgotten.
So yes, that a sequel should see the light of day at some point is highly plausible. But we’re still labeling this as a rumor.
