StarCraft II has went and done what was expected of it; after its worldwide launch last Tuesday, the mammoth RTS topped the UK’s weekly all-formats sales chart with ease, pushing back the former, otherwise unchanged, top four: Toy Story 3, Red Dead Redemption, Dance on Broadway, LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4.
With less than a week worth of sales, the Blizzard sequel has already surpassed its 1998 predecessor’s lifetime retail sales in the country, data collector Chart-Track notes. It’s also the year’s first PC-exclusive to grab the number one spot.
With no other newcomers this week, the rest of the chart is fairly uninteresting. But why not have a look at the top 20 below anyway.
