Attention, Europeans: start saving your ducats now. Upon its release, the “Signature Edition” of Gran Turismo 5 will sell for a hair-raising €180. But what just will you be buying with all those euros? The coveted box will contain the following:
- a collectible model car
- a GT-branded leather wallet
- a USB key with Polyphony/Mercedes-Benz trailer
- a GT-branded keychain (or “fob” for you cockney gamers out there)
- a Signature Edition book
- a 200 page Apex driver’s magazine
In addition to all of these goodies, there’s also some in-game swag. Those who pony up for the Signature Edition will get five ChromeLine cars and six Stealth vehicles.
And, oh yeah, you’ll have a chance to win a car. Specifically, a fancy car. More specifically, a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. Purchasers of the Signature Edition will be entered into a contest which combines both real-world and in-game driving challenges. Details on the contest itself are scarce, but the prize should be effective in sparking interest.
A European release date has yet to be specified for Gran Turismo 5.
