Bit with the StarCraft II map making bug? Best be sure whatever you create is appropriate, because the inappropriate ones — by Blizzard’s definition — will be shown the door.
The studio is actively keeping an eye out for maps that may in some way offend or include questionable content and, in order “to ensure that they promote a fun and safe environment for all players,” is reviewing all maps shared through Battle.net.
No funny geometrics then!
“If a map is found to contain inappropriate content, it will be removed from Battle.net and the map maker will be contacted via email,” a community manager has explained on the game’s official forums (via).
The process is admittedly a bit vague for now, but giving map makers more information on why their creation was removed is being worked on.
Players who’ve discovered objectionable content themselves can also give Blizzard a helping hand: right click the map image thumbnail under ‘Details’ and select ‘Report this Content’.
