Fallout New Vegas gets celebrity voicing

We already know that Fallout New Vegas is surpassing its predecessor in the pre-order department and, being set in a desolate Vegas wasteland, is more colorful than the drab D.C. setting from before. Today Bethesda announced another area in which they are one-upping Fallout 3 – voice overs.

Sure, Fallout 3 had over 30 different voice actors contributing, and while they are all very talented, only a handful of the names – Liam Neeson, Ron Perlman, and Malcolm McDowell – were recognizable to the average person. Come this October that will change as New Vegas is going to be rocking some star-studded names voicing NPCs and playable characters throughout the game.

Ron Perlman returns, as he has in every major Fallout release, as the game’s narrator and Michael Dorn resumes his role as Marcus, last seen in Fallout 2. Those Fallout alumni will be accompanied by the NPC voices of Matthew Perry, Wayne Newton, Kris Kristofferson, William Sadler, John Doman, and Rene Auberjonois. In addition to having conversations with famous people’s voices, we will be able to have Danny Trejo, Zach Levi, and Felicia Day by our sides as playable characters in our party. Bethesda also promises additional unannounced celebrity cameos throughout the Fallout: New Vegas world.
