New Left 4 Dead DLC involves a tough decision

The good news for zombie killing fans: A new piece of Left 4 Dead DLC is due out soon. The bad news: Players will have to choose which member of the original L4D1 crew is killed off. That’s why this new DLC is named The Sacrifice.

The new adventure takes place during the events of the Left 4 Dead 2 DLC The Passing, only this time, of course, you’ll be playing as the L4D1 crew. At the very end the player will have to make a tough decision that will decide which team member bites the dust. Quite a dilemma.

Don’t sweat it too much, though. The Sacrifice will be available for both L4D1 and L4D2 so you’ll be able to jump right in and start capping the undead even if you didn’t grab the sequel. Those who only own the sequel will be getting a treat as well since The Sacrifice update comes along with the popular No Mercy campaign that was previously only available on L4D1. Even if you already romped through it with the original, all the new L4D2 weapons could freshen up the experience.

The Sacrifice will be free of charge for PC and Mac users but will cost a little something for Xbox 360 owners. No dates yet.
