Oblivion motion picture trademark filed

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion may be hitting the big screen; Bethesda parent and IP holder ZeniMax Media has filed a trademark for a motion picture based on the popular RPG.

The trademark, spotted by VG Tribune, covers “motion picture film production; entertainment services, namely, providing motion picture theatrical films in the field of fantasy games.”

Best not go camping for a ticket just yet though. Similar trademarks were filed for the Fallout franchise over a year ago — for “entertainment services in the nature of an on-going television program” as well as “motion picture films about a post-nuclear apocalyptic world” — but nothing’s materialized yet.
