Halo: Reach grabs $200 million in day one sales

Halo: Reach is the biggest game Microsoft has ever published; the day-one North American and European sales of the Bungie swan song add up to $200 million, the platform holder’s announced, making it the biggest US entertainment launch of the year so far.

The three-day opening weekends of flicks Iron Man 2, Alice in Wonderland and Toy Story 3 didn’t stand a chance.

Call of Duty has nothing to worry about though; last year’s Infinity Ward blockbuster Modern Warfare 2‘s day-one sales in North America and the UK added up to $310 million.
