Campaign matchmaking for Halo: Reach‘s campaign portion will be added next month, Bungie’s latest weekly update informs. It being a non-launch feature boiled down the developers not wanting “your very first experience in campaign to occur on the very last level.”
Even with players being able to vote for the maps, “the majority might overrule your No Spoilers Doctrine,” it’s explained.
To that end, Bungie decided to hold back campaign co-op until there’s been “a big enough cushion between launch and present day,” which will be sometime in October.
Still some words of warning, though: “Campaign matchmaking will not take into account what your current progress is, so if you’re worried about spoilers make sure you finish campaign before jumping into this playlist!”
