Capcom’s Keiji Inafune has shown that he’s not all about being a downer, as he’s made an announcement with Level 5’s Akihiro Hino on the new partnership between the two companies.
“Right now, the two of us, with our staff, are working together on some truly interesting things,” said Inafune. “Even though Mr. Hino is younger, he’s someone I respect. I wanted to try working with him, so I contacted him.”
While no further details on what Capcom and Level 5 have in store were given, Inafune elaborated on the level of respect he has for Hino. “The thing I most respect about Hino is his work ethic,” Inafune stated. “Before I met Hino, I had confidence in the amount of work I was doing, and even thought that maybe I was the hardest working person in the game industry. But after meeting, I thought, ‘I’m probably not number one.'”
Inafune went on to praise Hino for the success of the Professor Layton series and the ability to “produce results”, so it may safe to say that Inafune is looking forward to the partnership.
Though they may be keeping it under wraps for now, stay tuned to see what Capcom and Level 5 will have for us in the near future.
