3DS dated, priced for Japan

Rumors and speculation, shuuush! Nintendo has at last confirmed some formal launch details on their upcoming 3DS handheld.

The no glasses 3D-enabled device will launch in Japan on February 26, 2011 for 25,000 yen ($299), the giant revealed at a Japanese press conference today. Two colors, Aqua Blue and Cosmos Black, will be available at launch.

The nitty gritty on the western launch will have to wait, though a March 2011 release window was confirmed.

Capcom was also it the event and announced two new games for the system: Mega Man Legends 3 Project and Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D (features Merc missions from Resi 4 & 5, new modes, characters). More details on these will be announced at the New York Comic-Con next month.
