
Nintendo is expecting mammoth success for its 3D-enabled handheld, the Nintendo 3DS.
Following yesterday’s Japanese launch date and price announcement, the videogame giant’s said it expects the device to sell 4 million units before the end of the company’s business year, which ends on March 31, 2011. The system will release in Japan for 26,000 yen (~US$299) on February 26, leaving it just over 30 days to reach the target.
It’s expected to launch in Europe and North America sometime in March. No price has been announced yet.
