Duke Nukem Forever demo confirmed, comes early for Borderlands lovers

The King’s return to retail will be preceded by a playable demo, new developer and property owner Gearbox has announced. What more, those who pick up this month’s Borderlands Game of the Year Edition will gain access to it earlier than the rest; a free membership certificate to the Duke Nukem Forever First Access Club is included with all new copies of the DLC-bearing RPG re-release. Next to granting early DNF demo access, the club offers its members “a wealth” of other — yet unspecified — “goodies” as well.

Like said, the demo will be out before the game arrives on retail, for both First Access Club members and the public at large. As is the case with DNF itself though, there’s no details on the timing just yet (other than 2011).

The Borderlands GOTY is out in North America next week, on October 12th, and Europe on the 15th. It comes with all four add-ons:  The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned, Mad Moxxi’s Underdome Riot, The Secret Armory of General Knoxx and the most recent Claptrap’s New Robot Revolution.
