BioWare offering free upgrade for Dragon Age II early adopters
Forget the golden guns, BioWare is going all out for gamers pre-ordering Dragon Age II before January 11, 2011, automatically upgrading all early adopters to the BioWare Signature Edition.
This limited edition’s $20 worth of extra content includes a download code for an additional playable character and new missions, a digital soundtrack and an in-game digital armory featuring a variety of weapons (still no golden guns). But the best part is that the deal isn’t tied to any particular retailer, so if you’re morally opposed to lining a certain female-unfriendly company’s coffers – *cough*Gamestop*cough*- you don’t have to miss out on the extras. Ubisoft did something similar with Prince of Persia, though their Limited Edition‘s goodies were all about the behind-the-scenes of development, not actually adding new game content.
If you’re still debating returning to the Blight-besieged world of Dragon Age, you better make your decision before January 11, 2011, after which the Dragon Age II BioWare Signature Edition will no longer be available.
