Disney has canned the rather interesting looking Pirates of the Caribbean: Armada of the Damned, it’s been confirmed.
The action-RPG was in development at Disney’s internal Propaganda Games and was just this summer announced for 2011 release. No more.
What went wrong hasn’t been shared, but the decision to terminate the project has led Disney to restructure the developer which, according to sources of Kotaku, means as many as 100 people may have lost their jobs.
Tron Evolution, also in the works at Propaganda, remains unaffected, Disney Interactive’s Angela Emery assures: “The studio is still in active production of TRON: Evolution, the video game, which will be released on December 7 with additional DLC support following the game’s release.”
