It’s a bit later than usual thanks to NPD not revealing its data publicly anymore, but the big three hardware manufacturer’s monthly US hardware numbers are in.
According to Nintendo — who shared the data with Bloomberg — the Wii sold through 254,000 consoles in September, which falls a bit behind the PS3’s 312,000 units in the same time period, as revealed today by Wedbush analyst Michael Pachter.
Both, however, lose out to rival Microsoft who revealed their numbers earlier; Xbox 360 sold 484,000 units last month.
Microsoft was the only one with year-over-year gains, up 37 percent. Wii’s YOY was -45 percent, the PS3’s -37 percent.
