Strong? Strong? Well, yeah! Ubisoft’s announced – in a somewhat vague manner – that pre-orders for Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood have gone through the roof, completely abolishing any other pre-order numbers any other Ubisoft title has ever had. The ironic part of it all is that there were no actual numbers to speak of.
Ubisoft is going all out on this one as far as marketing goes, which makes sense given that the up until now single-player-only series is going multiplayer and will add an entirely new dimension to the franchise aside from those approximately 15 hours of campaign-play Brotherhood is touted to contain.
“Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood is being heralded by the press as a single and multiplayer experience unlike any other,” said Tony Key, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Ubisoft. “As evidenced by the record number of pre-orders and the success of the multiplayer beta, consumers can‘t wait to get their hands on Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, and we’re looking forward to delivering them an experience they’ll never forget.”
Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood will be out on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on November 16th and 19th, US and EU respectively.
