For over a decade Futuremark has been showing all of us that our computers are complete garbage with its benchmarking tool 3D Mark. Later this year they will be releasing the 11th iteration of the software which will feature an assortment of DirectX 11 benchmarks that will surely punish our machines.
While our beloved hardware is being beaten into the ground, we’ll get the benefit of seeing what goodies DirectX 11 brings. The on-the-fly tessellation, volumetric lighting and an assortment of post processing effects gives us the beauty seen in the above clip. What we see in 3D Mark benchmarks is always the tip of the iceberg when it comes to graphical possibilities, and the possibilities of DirectX 11 seem plentiful.
