The most I remember about the music of Assassin’s Creed II was the annoying musician that I tripped up everytime he played a song near me. Aside from that the original score was pretty great too, so Ubisoft have got the same guy in to compose the soundtrack for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood.
Yep, BAFTA-winning composer Jesper Kyd has got the job of making Ezio’s continued adventure as easy on the ears as it is eyes and thumbs. He explained that “Researching the history of the Borgia Family it became clear early on that Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood would require a very dark score in order to match the Borgias’ aspirations to become the rulers of Italy. The music reflects the compelling story of Ezio as a Master Assassin going up against the Borgias.”
Ubisoft are also going to release the soundtrack on iTunes on November 16th, the same day the game launches in the US so you can enjoy the sounds of Italy outside of the game too. Just try not to climb up anything while you’re listening.
