Those who only do their gaming on a PlayStation 3 and want to get a taste of Super Meat Boy are in for a rude awakening. The game’s developer/owner/creator, Team Meat, wants to make it clear that they “can’t EVER do a PS3 version of Super Meat Boy.” The decision has nothing to do with console preference though, it’s all about contracts.
Is seems that when Team Meat went into negotiations with various publishers, Sony was the “only one that didn’t express much interest in the game,” leading the developers to believe they didn’t want to publish the game on PSN. The team decided to go ahead and sign on with Nintendo and Microsoft, but by doing so “our contracts excluded any release on PS3.”
“We would have loved to do a PS3 version, but its not at all possible whatsoever now, so please stop asking about it.”
