The Marvel vs. Capcom series has been known to throw a few curve balls when it came to character selection; Marvel vs. Capcom 1 had Captain Commando and Jin and MvC 2 had Marrow and Son Son. Capcom followed suit with Marvel vs. Capcom 3 as they announced their newest character, She-Hulk, putting her right up their with other oddball choices like M.O.D.O.K. Capcom also took the time to welcome back Zero from the MegaMan X series, his first and latest appearance being in Tatsunoko vs. Capcom.
In the She-Hulk trailer, our lady Ms. Walters can be seen sharing a healthy amount of similarities with Street Fighter IV character El Fuerte, as she packs an array of moves that involve run-and-stop tactics, wall jumps, body splashes, and all kinds of fast grabs. She-Hulk isn’t a complete copy of the lucha libre fighter, seeing as how throwing cars and daintily swinging opponents with one hand seems to be exclusive to her.
As for Zero, not much has changed since his Tatsunoko vs. Capcom days as Zero still slashes, shoots, and teleport dashes like he used to. He also had two supers added to his arsenal, with a gamma quake-like pillar of energy and a full screen sword swipe to boot.
Look for some more surprises to come out by the time the game drops in Spring 2011.
