You know you never really lend much though to the idea of developers being gamers just like me and you. They’ve got to be too busy, right? Especially not the guys at BioWare; with Dragon Age II, Star Wars: The Old Republic and their VGA reveal on the way you’d think they simply wouldn’t have the time to play.
That doesn’t stop dev co-founder Ray Muzyka trying to get around three hours of play time a night though. He believes he has to play that much just to stay on track. He told Eurogamer: “There are too many games released today. It’s interesting, because it’s very, very busy – it makes it very hard as a player to keep up. The releases clump up – even though that is changing a little bit.”
It gets even busier when a certain developer adds a 20+ hour RPG to the mix, not that we’re complaining, “For us, we have to play our games, play competitor’s games, play other relevant games and play the handful of games we just really want to play more of and finish. I try and play two-or three hours a night.”
