The sales of Dead Rising 2‘s downloadable Case 0, aka Capcom’s “most dynamic sales weapon,” have surpassed the 600,000 mark.
After releasing in early September at a lucrative 400 MSP ($5) price point, the prequel story sold through half a million units in its first few weeks and broke “all records on Xbox LIVE with the best week one unit sales in the history of all content distributed through Xbox LIVE Arcade.”
In October, the game topped XBLA’s charts again by selling an additional 104,000 units.
The second downloadable Dead Rising 2 title, Case West, an epilogue this time, will be available next month, Capcom’s has announced today. Expect new enemies, challenges, (combo) weapons, as well as cameo appearances from the first game’s characters.
Case West is co-op focused but also playable solo. Those who go at it alone get to control Chuck Greene with an invulnerable photo-snapping Frank West by their side.
