What are you going to do when ideas for a long running and highly popular franchise may be running a bit low? Some make another franchise whilst others start from the beginning with shinier graphics and so forth. As rumored yesterday, one franchise poised for a remake may be Halo. Maybe.
This morning, Microsoft responded to the rumor, with a spokesperson saying that “right now our focus is on supporting Halo: Reach” and that “we have nothing to announce at this time.”
Yesterday’s rumor had GamesMaster citing “industry chatter” with information on the Halo remake and that it is going to be made with the Reach engine.
At present, this is all the information Halo fans will have to go on. If they take a hint from 2007’s Tomb Raider remake, chances are there might be a Halo remake released in November 2011; the game’s tenth anniversary. How else would they celebrate?
