Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee, one of the very few games that I still get misty eyed over, is coming back this holiday to kick nostalgia’s butt and it’s bringing some friends along for the ride. The Oddworld Inhabitants, those which gave birth to the Oddworld… uh, world, have announced the release of the Oddboxx this holiday via the Steam service. Along with some serious spell-check failings, the Oddboxx packs in thirteen years of the Inhabitants’ works.
The Oddboxx is set to launch on Steam as an “affordable and convenient way” for fans, old and new, to relive the Oddworld games again, or for the first time. Spanning the Oddworld Inhabitants lengthy careers, the Oddboxx will include the developer’s four unique gaming titles: Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee, Oddworld: Abe’s Exoddus, Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee, and Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath, with the last two titles using this collection as their PC debut.
The Oddworld Inhabitants have not disclosed a price or exact release date, other than “this coming Holiday,” but have promised to “a few new additions and enhancements to be announced in the run-up to its release date.”
