Today is a great day for split-screen gamers; the feature has been confirmed for Sony’s star shooter, Killzone 3. Herman Hulst, Guerrilla’s project head explained that this was just one of the ways that their latest game was pushing the PS3.
He told 1UP: “We found a lot of power after we completed Killzone 2. Just to give you an example on the graphics side: we pulled a level from Killzone 2 into the Killzone 3 engine and it ran at 50 per cent. That’s how much power we’ve been able to find. You can see it in split screen co-op.” Well, that pretty much confirms that.
It’s certainly impressive that this tech-heavy title can support a feature so uncommon in games these days; does anyone have an excuse for no split-screen anymore?
