EA is ramping up the promotional machine for Dead Space 2 and they are bound and determined to make us understand that this thing is scary. Hitting DVD and Blu-ray this January, Dead Space: Aftermath is set to tell the back story of Isaac Clarke’s involvement in the original Dead Space and delve deeper into the Aegis VII disaster and explores how the government sends people to get exposed to Marker shards.
The trailer shows more drama and intrigue – thanks to the voice of the famous announcer guy – than I have come to expect from what I originally considered just a creepy crawly outer space dungeon crawler. It also shows off some really impressive comic book styled 2D graphics with just a sprinkling of some odd 3D graphics that seem to have been made by first year students at the local community college’s night school. Seriously EA?
